The State Key Laboratory of Crop Stress Biology for Arid Areas has 61 permanent scientists including 33 professors, 10 associate professors, and 17 research scientists, laboratory managers, and technicians. The Laboratory has 2 members of "Thousand Talents", 1 chair professor and visiting professor of "Cheung Kong Scholar", 4 winners of the "National Outstanding Youth Science Fund", 2 winners of "National Hundred Outstanding PhD Papers", 1 scientist selected for the "New Century Talents Project, and 6 scientists in the "Program for New Century Excellent Talents from Ministry of Education of China".
