On the afternoon of February 21th, the opening ceremony of the winter camp themed on “ Bread is the Staff of Life”, an sub-camp of “Chinese Bridge” hosted by the MOE Center for Language and Cooperation and undertaken by Northwest A&F University was held at the administration building on south campus of our university .
It’s the first time for our university to sponsor the “Chinese Bridge” online programs. In the six days, TCFL teachers from School of Foreign Languages and Culture of NWAFU and Confucius Institutes of Baranavichy State University conducted all the teachings in the way of “online teaching + video-watching-learning + online teaching assistance”. The original learning style attracted more than 230 attendees from Belarus, Vietnam and other countries.
Free from the time and geographical restrictions, This winter camp gives full play to the advantages of cloud platforms such as the Chinese Alliance. The program consist of daily oral communication, introduction to knowledge of Chinese characters, courses on Chinese diet, and themed cultural lectures. The course design strives to create an all-round immersive Chinese learning environment. The idea of “from the ancient to the present, from land to table” enables the activity more entertaining and participatory. The foreign students can learn more about Yangling’s unique agricultural historical status while learning practical Chinese. It also means an opportunity for them to witness the agricultural development in Northwest China, and enjoy the unique charm of Chinese civilization.
