In the summer semester, students of grade 2019majoring in Chinese International Education from Department of Foreign Languages conducted a three-week unique internship with the theme of "laying a solid foundation and telling a good Chinese story". The most unforgettable part of the internship for students is the time spent with international students from College of International Education, appreciating the beauty of Chinese culture and enjoying the interest of Chinese stories together.
At the beginning of the activity, Chinese and international students introduced their names, hometown, interests and hobbies to each other. The teacher showed the most representative classical Chinese instruments Erh-hu and Gu Zheng to the students one by one, and asked them to sing the Chinese song "The Moon Represents My Heart" in groups. Although students have different languages and cultural background, music is the common language at the moment, and the classroom atmosphere is more active under the rendering of music.
This wonderful time not only improves students' understanding of Chinese and foreign cultures, but also effectively improves their intercultural communication skills. It lays a solid foundation for the goal of cultivating interdisciplinary talents who are competent in international Chinese education and Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges with the abilities of practice, research and innovation.
