From November 19th to 21st, the 24th National Invention Exhibition and the One Belt One Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition were held in Foshan, Guangdong. The two achievements "Beef Cattle Technology Innovation Service Helps Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia to fight poverty" and "Science and Technology Innovation Serves Haiyuan County's High-end Cattle Industry Development and Poverty Alleviation" were awarded "Science and Technology Poverty Alleviation Award" by China Invention Association.

Professor Zan Linsen, the chief expert of the cattle science and technology innovation team of NWAFU, led the team to participate in the exhibition, demonstrating the brave exploration and innovative service model of NWAFU, the National Beef Cattle Improvement Center and the Ningxia Xihaigu High-end Cattle Industry Research Institute, a cooperation unit of government, industry, university and research in the implementation of the national innovation-driven strategy. He described the moving story of the people in the deeply impoverished areas of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia in the new era of poverty alleviation, and was invited to be a guest in the live news room of the exhibition, and was interviewed by reporters from CCTV, China Daily and other media, enabling more people to understand the practices and experience of NWAFU’s cattle industry team in poverty alleviation through science and technology.
