On the morning of August 30, NWAFU’s pre-jobt training for new faculty in 2021 began in the Internationalcommunication center. President Wu Pute attended the opening ceremony and addressed to the new faculty: To be a NWAFUers with passion, responsibility and pursuit. On the centennial of the founding of the CPC, more than 190 outstanding graduates from famous universities and research institutes at home and abroad gathered in NWAFU to join the grand cause of the “Double First-Class initiative” construction of the university.At the ceremony, all the new faculty members took an oath. The university leaders wore university badge for the new faculty representatives. President Wu welcomed the talents at home and abroad to choose NWAFU to realize their life value. After reviewingNWAFU’s long history for 87 years and remarkable achievements, he elaborated on the university's development ideas and goals, and urged the new faculty to keep in mind Xi Jinping's instructions to set a fine example for students, and to be a NWAFUers with passion, responsibility and pursuit.

President Wu emphasized that one should have passion to cultivate love for the family and the motherland, caring about what is of vital importance to the nation；With a strong sense of responsibility, faculties are required to remember the fundamental task of nurturing students and understand the duties of their positions. Under the guidance of “Before giving a bowl of water to students, teachers should have a bucket of water”, each faculty ought to abandon impetuousness to improve themselves with lasting patience; With the pursuit of“not claiming credit but always making sure to contribute our share to the success of the cause” , everyone should make new achievementsin serving the development of NWAFU and the National Strategy, making unremitting efforts for the construction of the world first-level agriculturaluniversity and striving to realize the second Centenary Goal and the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of our nations.2021’s pre-job training for new faculties started from August 30 to September 5. By launching lectures and visiting, the training mainly includes presentation of NWAFU’s history and current situation, lectures on teachers' ethics, the education of ideal and belief, introduction of relevant supportive policies and management systems of the university, and training on teaching. It was coordinated and organized by the Personnel Department, the Teachers' Work Department and the Teaching Development Center, so that new faculties are able to be a part of “NWAFU’s Gene”, establish “the first standard” and realize the goal of “A Hundred Flowers Blossoming”.
