According to the latest data from ESI on November 15th, the discipline of molecular biology and genetics of NWAFU entered the top 1% of ESI global for the first time, becoming the second new ESI discipline this year after pharmacology and toxicology.There are a total of 1399 papers in the discipline, with 14737 citations in total, and an average of 10.53 citations. Among the 808 institutions in the top 1% of the discipline, it ranks 802nd, indicating that our university has comparatively high level of scientific research and international influence in the field of molecular biology and genetics.
At present, NWAFU has a total of 8 disciplines in the top 1% of ESI, including agricultural science, botany and zoology, engineering, environmental science and ecology, chemistry, biology and biochemistry, pharmacology and toxicology, molecular biology and genetics. The rankings of each disciplines and overall ranking of the university are rising steadily.Among them, the agricultural sciences ranked 22nd, 10 places higher than the same period of last year (November 2018, the same below), ranking 0.26‰ in the world; botany and zoology ranked 128th, 29 places higher than that of the same period last year, only one place away from the top 1 ‰ in the world; environmental science and ecology ranked 363rd, chemistry ranked 856th, biology and biochemistry ranked 591st, engineering ranked 762nd, 134, 114, 84 and 49 places higher than that of last year respectively. Pharmacology and toxicology ranked 814th, 5 places ahead of the new entry in May this year; our university ranked 897th overall, 114 places ahead of the same period last year. Announced in this issue, 174 high-cited papers of NWAFU were published, an increase of 60 articlesand an increase of 52.63% over the same period of last year.
