Seven NWAFUers Selected for the Youth Talent Funding Programme of SNAST

Recently, Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology (SNAST) has just released the grantee list for the 2022-2023 Youth Talent Funding Programme of SNAST. The number of NWAFU candidates on the list reached a record high, with seven staff members including Xu Yang from College of Forestry, Shen Junjun from College of Horticulture, Ma Tingting from College of Food Science and Engineering, Gao Huiling from College of Life Science, Tu Qin from College of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Cai Yaohui from Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Jia Shuming from College of Natural Resources and Environment.

The Youth Talent Funding Programme offered by SNAST aimed at discovering and cultivating promising youth talents in fields of science and technology that are under age 32. By providing necessary support in scientific research, the programme strives to guide youth talents to make most of the “golden period of scientific research” and thus to lay a solid foundation for their career. Since the implementation of the programme in 2015, 20 members from NWAFU have been selected, devoting themselves to the development of the school.
